PP 467 - Practice Lab and Case Studies I

Companion course to PP 465. Simulated or actual patient cases are used to continue development of students’ knowledge base in human diseases; therapeutics; and problem-solving, communication, and literature assessment skills. Students continue to develop their skills and knowledge in patient assessment and care with an emphasis on profile/case review, adverse drug event reporting, communication, ethical issues, universal precautions, use of resources and literature, physical assessment, diagnostic/monitoring, and drug administration.
2-hr case studies every other week alternating with 2-hr lab every other week

(Prerequisites: BS 358, CH 346, CH 356, PC 301, PC 302, CO 101, ST 310, PH 305, PP 306, and PP 317; corequisites: PC 411 and PP 465)
