PT 465 - Physical Therapy Issues II: Health Promotion and Wellness


This course emphasizes the development of clinical-reasoning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills as they pertain to normal individuals across the life span. The Guide to Physical Therapist Practice is utilized with the focus on prevention and wellness and the impact of psychosocial issues on the client and caregiver. Client screenings and wellness activities will be designed to promote learning of new material and to integrate content from other courses. A learner-centered format will be utilized to afford students the opportunity to work in groups and as members of a healthcare team.

(Prerequisites: PT 406, PT 415, PT 425, PT 431, PT 435, PT 465, PT 485, and HS 400)
