HA 725 - Operations Management in Healthcare

The U.S. health care system and individual organizations face many challenges, including rising costs and unequal access. These and other dilemmas are addressed in this course, Operations Management in Health Care. This course provides a comprehensive analysis of the many aspects of health care operations management, including organization finances, patient flows, inventory management, supply chain management, and process improvement. You will explore ways in which health care administrators direct the complexities of the health care organization and all of its elements—patients, stakeholders, providers, payers, and government regulators. In addition, you will be introduced to concepts of research and data analytics for decision-making to improve quality and efficiency.
