BS 441 - No Microbe Is an Island: The Social Life of Microbes Microbes do not live in isolation. More commonly microbes live in association with one another and with non-microbial host organisms. Students will use the primary literature to explore selected topics in sociomicrobiology, including: quorum sensing, biofilms, interkingdom communication, symbioses, and microbiomes.
