The minor in literature allows students the opportunity to develop an appreciation and understanding of literature as well as an ability to read critically while studying at University of the Sciences. Every discipline, whether in the humanities or sciences, requires an ability to read texts critically. The student of literature is especially practiced in this important skill. After a student’s graduation, the ability to read, analyze, and critically evaluate complex texts will be a key to professional growth in whatever career the student has chosen.
